Dravidian linguistic tradition is very ancient perhaps the most ancient in the world having had its beginnings in Sumeria, the fabled Kumari where Tamil is said to have developed in the First CaGkam or Academy . However right now we have only Tolkaappiyam ( 3rd Cent. B.C) that not only retains this tradition but also has been the foundation of further developments. This Campus is organized to revitalize this ancient Linguistic Tradition that has served as the foundation of Dravidian culture. The Campus will also cater for studies of language along these lines.
